Naples actually ended up becoming its own capital in the Kingdom of Naples which eventually was part of the Italian Unification which began in 1815 but did not finish until the end of World War I. Naples is located in the southern part of Italy and is residence to over 4 million people with another one million living on the outskirts of the city making it the third most inhabited city in Italy. Naples is now most famous for its history and the art and culture that have been left by these many great civilizations.
