Acient Rome
Rome was once the greatest empire that ever ruled over Europe. To many it is considered the greatest empire of human history. Acient Rome was actually built up from farmers on the Italian peninsula in 10th Century BC…

Rome remade itself throughout its existence of a world power. There government was ever changing throughout the times along with its religion. The government switched between a monarchy, oligarchic republic and then an autocratic empire. With religion at the beginning of the Roman Empire was similar to Greek mythology in their belief in many different gods. Eventually there was a switch to Christianity. Christianity was first looked upon with a negative light but that faded away and under Constantine I it became the official religion of Rome.
Ancient Rome was known for its massive army that took over most of Western Europe and the Mediterranean area. The empire eventually split into two distinct halves Eastern and Western. The Western Empire fell in 5th Century AD. While the Eastern Empire survived for another melenium.
The Roman Empire is remembered for many things as history looks upon. Some great deeds in the rise of civilization and some horrible terrors where done by Roman citizens. There was no other empire ever like it.
